2 Nov
Summary
- Parents and grandmother charged with murder, torture, and child abuse
- Body of 8-year-old boy found in a cooler filled with ice
- Abuse allegedly occurred over a long period, dating back to April 2025

On October 28, 2025, the body of an 8-year-old boy was discovered in a Lynwood, California apartment complex, hidden in a cooler filled with ice. Authorities have now charged the boy's parents, Destiny Luckie Harrison and Daniel Alberto Monzon, as well as his paternal grandmother, Ana Carcamo Zarceno, with his murder and torture.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, the three suspects have been charged with one felony count each of murder, torture, and child abuse resulting in death. Monzon and Zarceno also face charges of being accessories after the fact. The criminal complaint indicates that the torture of the young victim, identified as Isaiah H., dated back to April 2025.
Isaiah's parents, both 25 years old, and his 45-year-old grandmother were arrested on October 29, 2025. They were scheduled to be arraigned on October 31, but Monzon refused to appear, and Zarceno claimed she was too ill. Harrison did appear in court, but her defense attorney used manila folders to obscure her face from the press.

Authorities believe Isaiah was subjected to prolonged abuse by his family members before succumbing to his injuries on October 24, 2025, just days before his body was discovered. The three suspects are each facing 32 years to life in state prison if convicted.
