A gang of violent robbers who plundered nearly £150,000 from London's luxury stores over a four-month period are now facing prison sentences. The group executed seven raids, including ramming a store with a car and using sledgehammers on a jewellers.
Their crime spree, which began on May 8 of last year, saw them target high-end establishments like Fendi and Clarendon Fine Art. Members Christopher Gibbs, George O'Hare, Lee McCready, Matthew Windrass, Anthony Munday, Paul Hughes, and David Rigelsford have all been convicted.
Notably, Lee McCready was on license for a 2005 murder conviction when he participated in these robberies. Detectives from Scotland Yard's Flying Squad utilized extensive CCTV analysis and forensic evidence to connect the suspects and their getaway vehicles.
Sentencing for the convicted individuals has been adjourned to March 17.
