Summary
- Three men arrested for shooting four family members.
- A ₹10,000 loan dispute escalated to violence.
- Suspect allegedly posted abusive video before shooting.

Three individuals are in custody following a violent weekend shooting in Ludhiana that critically injured four members of the same family. The arrests came after a manhunt for Sagar Verma, Vishal Rana, and an accomplice named Nikhil. These men face charges including attempted murder and weapons offenses.
The incident stemmed from a disagreement over a ₹10,000 loan taken by Verma six months prior. Police reports indicate that Verma stopped making interest payments three months ago and became aggressive when confronted about the debt.
The dispute intensified when Verma allegedly posted a derogatory video on Instagram targeting the lender. A subsequent confrontation led to Verma challenging the lender to a late-night meeting. When the lender arrived, Verma and his associates initiated an argument and chase.
As the lender’s family members gathered for protection, the suspects opened fire, resulting in gunshot wounds for Gurinder Singh, his father, mother, and uncle. All four victims are currently receiving hospital treatment.
