A distressing incident unfolded in Ludhiana where a resident of Kunj Vihar, Haibowal, tragically ended his life. The individual, who had established a hosiery factory using a bank loan, reportedly resorted to suicide due to alleged harassment over business debts.
His wife filed a complaint, leading the police to book three men: Manish Kumar, Bunty, and Arvind Kumar. Bunty, a thread broker, had supplied materials to the factory owner. According to the complaint, Bunty had been persistently harassing the deceased for payment.
The situation culminated on February 28, 2026, shortly after the victim saw his wife and children off on a train to Bihar. The complainant claims the three accused went to the hosiery unit to seize machinery as collateral, an act she believes drove her husband to suicide.
The Jagatpuri police post has registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused are currently at large, and no arrests have been made.
