A violent robbery occurred on Saturday night in Vishal Nagar, Ludhiana, where a liquor company employee was assaulted and ₹22 lakh in cash was stolen. The victim, Hardeep Singh, was attacked by three individuals on a motorcycle as he neared his office to deposit the collected funds.
The assault, which took place around 10:15 PM, involved sharp-edged weapons. The perpetrators swiftly fled with the substantial sum of money. Investigators believe the assailants may have had prior knowledge of the cash collection and were possibly following the victim from Phullanwal Chowk.
The Dugri police have registered a case and are actively pursuing leads. Efforts include scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas and forming multiple police teams to apprehend the suspects. The injured employee is receiving medical treatment.
