In Sahnewal's Balmiki Mohalla, a festive Holi celebration was shattered by a fatal dispute over loud music. The altercation began when a 25-year-old electrician, Bhupinder Sahota, objected to his neighbor, Vishal, playing music loudly from his vehicle. This led to a heated argument that quickly escalated.
Vishal allegedly summoned several aides, and the situation devolved into a physical assault on Bhupinder. When family members attempted to intervene, they were unable to stop the attack. During the chaos, another neighbor, 62-year-old Balwinder Kaur, was also fatally struck by the vehicle.
The accused, including Vishal, his father Harinder Singh Goldy, Harinder's brother Jaswinder Singh, and an aide Jaspreet Singh, along with seven unidentified accomplices, have been named in an FIR. The victims were rushed to the hospital but were pronounced dead. Police confirm the accused are fugitives and are actively pursuing their arrest.
