Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna visited the Tiwari family in Lucknow following the Saadatganj triple murder, assuring them of enhanced security and a swift judicial process. The incident, which claimed the lives of three family members four days prior, was a result of a dispute involving parking and the use of vacant land near a banyan tree in Brahmani Tola.
Krishna assured the family that the case would be fast-tracked, aiming for expeditious trial and maximum punishment for the guilty. The visit comes amidst allegations that the victims' family faced repeated harassment, with prior complaints to local police allegedly not receiving adequate attention. Family members expressed fears of further attacks and pressed for the immediate arrest of all involved.
To aid the investigation, police have announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for information leading to the capture of Rajesh Shukla and Divya, who are currently absconding. Family members have demanded stringent action, including an 'encounter' for some accused and the death penalty for the prime accused. They described the victims as peaceful individuals caught in a dispute over a minor disagreement concerning a municipal construction project.
