₹29 Tea Bill Cracks Lucknow Robbery Case

Lucknow authorities have apprehended four individuals linked to a ₹4 lakh robbery that occurred in the Gosainganj area. The breakthrough in the case came when investigators traced the suspects via a mere ₹29 digital payment made for tea and samosas at a shop near the crime scene. This meticulous digital tracking, combined with surveillance, allowed police to identify and arrest the men.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspects had robbed Rahul Kumar, an operator of a Jan Seva Kendra, on August 6. Subsequently, police recovered ₹1.5 lakh of the stolen money, two mobile phones, and two motorcycles, one of which was allegedly bought with the looted cash. The arrested individuals, identified as residents of Mohanlalganj, Unnao, and Gosainganj, reportedly admitted to the crime, stating they committed it to cover personal expenses.

Further interrogation indicated that the accused had traveled to Varanasi after the robbery to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple, where they stayed in a luxury hotel using a portion of the stolen funds. A reward of ₹15,000 was announced for the police team that successfully resolved the case.
