Lucknow Man Commits Suicide After Alleged Harassment by Wife and Friend

On October 23, 2025, a 26-year-old resident of Mayapuri Colony in Lucknow, Satyavan, took his own life by hanging himself in his room. Satyavan's mother, Geeta Devi, has filed a case against her daughter-in-law Khushboo alias Preeti and Ankit Tiwari's wife Kusum, accusing them of inciting Satyavan to commit suicide.
According to Geeta Devi's complaint, Satyavan returned to his room around 10 PM on October 23 with his friend Ankit Tiwari, with whom he worked at a local petrol pump. Shortly after, at 10:18 PM, Ankit's wife Kusum had a phone conversation with Satyavan. Following this call, Satyavan and his wife Khushboo got into a heated argument, which Geeta Devi claims led to her son's mental harassment and eventual suicide.
