Four LLB students from Meerut College were apprehended on Wednesday following a brazen daylight attack on a 25-year-old eatery owner and her business partner in the crowded Abu Lane Market. The students are accused of vandalizing the vehicle the pair were traveling in, with a video of the incident showing them swarming and damaging the car.
According to the complaint filed, the altercation began with three youths on a scooter blocking the victim's car. The situation escalated when more individuals joined, intercepting the vehicle and issuing threats. The woman was reportedly molested, and the car sustained significant damage, including a shattered windshield and broken mirrors.
The incident, believed to have originated from a road rage dispute over overtaking, led to the registration of an FIR under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder and rioting. Six accused were identified, with four LLB students arrested after the widely shared video prompted swift police action.
