A driver who intentionally used his car as a weapon during Liverpool's Premier League title celebrations has admitted to injuring 134 people in a seven-minute rampage. The defendant pleaded guilty to 31 offences, including dangerous driving and multiple counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm. Horrifying dashcam footage displayed in court showed his car colliding with well over 100 individuals, including children. Victims were also seen in tears as the events unfolded.
Following his arrest, the driver told officers, "I've just ruined my family's life." He was motivated by a desire to get to his destination, prosecutors stated, and was prepared to cause serious harm to achieve his aim. The court heard he had an opportunity to stop but did not.
