A 25-year-old man, Daniel Keatinge, was fatally shot on Formosa Road in Fazakerley, Liverpool, on the evening of January 30, 2009. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots around 19:30 GMT. The perpetrator, believed to be between 16 and 20 years old and wearing dark clothing and a black Lowe Alpine hat, escaped the scene and has not been apprehended.
Merseyside Police are actively pursuing leads and have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses, specifically asking if anyone recalls seeing a silver car in the area around the time of the incident. Despite a £10,000 reward offered in 2014, the case remains cold. Keatinge had a prior conviction for wounding with intent, but police found no direct link between his previous offense and his murder, though they remain open-minded.
