18 Aug
Summary
- Susan Clancy testified her daughter-in-law sought mental health help.
- Lindsay Clancy faces murder charges for her three children's deaths.
- Defense argues postpartum psychosis at the time of the incident.

In the ongoing trial of Lindsay Clancy, her former mother-in-law, Susan Clancy, testified that Lindsay had actively sought assistance for her postpartum mental health in the months prior to the deaths of her three young children. Susan Clancy, herself a former nurse, recounted connecting Lindsay with South Shore Health's Perinatal Behavioral Health Program after Lindsay expressed feeling unwell in November 2022.
Lindsay Clancy, aged 35, faces three murder charges in relation to the deaths of her 5-year-old daughter Cora, 3-year-old son Dawson, and infant son Callan. The children were found deceased at their Duxbury home on January 24, 2023. Clancy has entered a plea of not guilty.
The defense team, led by attorney Kevin Reddington, is presenting the argument that Lindsay Clancy was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time of the alleged crimes. Reddington presented Lindsay's mother and sister as early witnesses for the defense on the preceding Monday.
