Lane County Drug Ring Busted: Meth, Fentanyl Seized

Law enforcement in Eugene has concluded a year-long drug investigation, leading to the arrest of three individuals involved in drug manufacturing and distribution within Lane County. Search warrants were executed at three residences located in Eugene and Lakeside earlier this year, specifically in April and May.

During these searches, authorities confiscated a substantial amount of illicit substances, including over six pounds of methamphetamine, nearly three ounces of fentanyl, and smaller quantities of psilocybin mushrooms, methadone, and cocaine. Additionally, over a pound of marijuana, a stolen bicycle, two firearms, scales, packaging materials, and $11,458 in U.S. currency were seized.

Eugene residents Kassandra Jean Kruit, 44, and Blake William Dickson, 43, along with Lakeside resident Vernon Lee Johnson, 47, were arrested. Dickson and Kruit face multiple felony charges, including child neglect and unlawful possession and delivery of controlled substances, with pre-trial hearings scheduled for July 20 and July 23, respectively. Johnson was indicted by a grand jury on charges including conspiracy to deliver and manufacturing methamphetamine, with a jury trial set for July 7.
