LaGrange Shooting: Two Youths Dead, Teen Injured

LaGrange police are investigating the motive behind a violent incident at an apartment complex on Hogansville Road that left two young men dead and a teenager wounded. The shootings occurred around 9 p.m. on a Monday evening following several 911 calls reporting shots fired. One call originated from inside the apartment where the incident unfolded. Officers responding to the scene discovered Drevion Brewer deceased outside the apartment. Inside, Amarious Williams was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died at a local hospital. A 16-year-old male was also located with a gunshot wound to the leg; a neighbor provided aid before emergency services arrived. Detectives have identified Joshua Preston as a suspect and taken him into custody. He faces charges including two counts of malice murder and aggravated assault, with further charges anticipated. The investigation remains ongoing.
