In a tragic incident on October 11, 2025, a businessman in Kuchaman town was shot dead inside a gym for refusing to pay extortion money. The police have arrested 7 suspects in connection with the murder, but the main shooters are still at large.
According to the investigation, the 40-year-old victim, Ramesh Rulaniya, was exercising at the gym when a masked assailant entered and fired at him. Rulaniya was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The Didwana-Kuchaman district police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to the arrest of the main accused, identified as Ganpat Gurjar, Mahesh Gurjar, Dharmendra alias Deva, and Zuber Ahmed. The police teams, comprising nearly 100 personnel, have examined CCTV footage covering over 500 km and arrested 7 suspects who allegedly conspired and assisted the main shooters.
Superintendent of Police Richa Tomar stated that the murder was part of a planned conspiracy to create fear among local businessmen and intimidate them into paying extortion money. The police have seized the Scorpio vehicle used in the crime and are conducting further investigations to trace the shooters and their handlers.
