Anderson was last seen on August 20, 2022, the same night witnesses reported a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, Tony Berry. Investigators allege Berry killed Anderson that night in Wagener, S.C. He was arrested in September 2022 following a viral social media post from Anderson's sister. Berry faces charges of kidnapping and murder, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Anderson's remains were reportedly located using information provided by Berry. His son, Darius Berry, also faces charges for allegedly assisting in the destruction of Anderson's vehicle. Berry's trial, initially scheduled for next week, has been postponed.
