Kamaal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, was remanded to police custody until January 27 by a Bandra court. This action follows a firing incident in the Oshiwara area, where Khan was named the primary suspect.
Khan stated that he fired two shots by mistake while cleaning his firearm at home to test if it was functional. The bullets reportedly missed their intended target due to strong winds and struck the Nalanda building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation. They are examining the motive behind the incident and verifying the actor's statement, who is reportedly cooperating. Khan had obtained a gun license and firearm from Uttar Pradesh in 2005 and kept it at his Mumbai residence.
