50 Sovereigns Recovered: Krishnagiri House Burglar Caught

A man identified as Vijay, aged 45, was apprehended on Saturday in connection with a house burglary that transpired near Krishnagiri approximately two weeks prior. Police reported the recovery of 50 sovereigns of gold jewelry from the suspect, though silver items remain unrecovered.
The theft occurred at the home of Karuppasamy, a moneylender, in Ganapathy Nagar. The homeowner and his family had departed for their native village near Tirupur on January 13th to observe the Pongal festival.
Upon their return on January 18th, the family discovered their residence had been burgled. They filed a complaint detailing the loss of 50 sovereigns of gold and 4.5kg of silver. A special police team was formed to investigate.
