In Kota, a case has been registered against four to five individuals, including a police officer, for abduction, hostage-taking, and robbery. The incident occurred on the night of January 20. The victim, Rajesh Kumar Sain, reported that while riding his bike with a friend near Kota University, they were intercepted by a policeman, identified as Manish Yadav of RK Puram police station, and another person named Vijay Mali.
The officer allegedly snatched the victim's bag containing Rs 15,000 and jewelry, demanding Rs 1.50 lakh and threatening to fabricate a case. The victim's friend was reportedly sent to arrange the money.
Subsequently, four to five more individuals arrived in a car, held the victim hostage in the vehicle, and severely thrashed him. He was later dropped off on the highway near Nanta. The robbed items have since been recovered by the Kota city police.
