In a significant legal victory, rapper Kodak Black has had all charges dismissed in a Florida case involving alleged fleeing and resisting arrest. A Broward County judge granted a motion to dismiss, citing a lack of evidence that the rapper attempted to elude police during a traffic stop earlier this year.
Kodak's legal team, led by attorney Bradford Cohen, presented video evidence and deposition testimony from a deputy, which they argued proved the rapper did not flee. The rapper had self-surrendered in May after an arrest warrant was issued following a February incident.
Cohen has consistently maintained that Kodak is being targeted and has described the prior arrest warrant as stemming from an "unfounded weak arrest." The rapper is also currently involved in a separate legal battle in Orlando, Florida, where he faces drug charges for alleged possession of 25 grams of MDMA.
