Kardashian Gets 1 Euro After Paris Robbery

Nearly ten years after a traumatic robbery in Paris, Kim Kardashian has been awarded 1 euro in compensation by a Paris court. The ruling on Tuesday, September 15, brings a close to the legal proceedings following the 2016 incident where Kardashian was held at gunpoint and jewels worth over $10 million were stolen.

Kardashian and stylist Simone Harouche, who was present during the robbery, issued a joint statement expressing gratitude to the French justice system. They clarified that the 1 euro awarded to each of them is not about the compensation itself but represents accountability and recognition of the harrowing experience.

The robbery occurred in October 2016 while Kardashian was in Paris for Fashion Week. Five men, posing as law enforcement, broke into her hotel room and demanded her valuables. Kardashian recounted being tied up and having a gun pointed at her before the assailants fled with her jewelry.

In January 2017, suspects were arrested, and 10 individuals were eventually charged. Following a trial in spring 2025, eight suspects were found guilty, while two were acquitted. Kardashian stated after the verdict that the crime was terrifying but expressed belief in growth and accountability.

In addition to Kardashian and Harouche receiving 1 euro each, the Paris court also awarded 109,516 euros to a former hotel receptionist and 50,000 euros to the hotel where the robbery took place.
