In Khargone, Barwaha police apprehended a 29-year-old individual, Vicky alias Vikram Kahar, with a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. The arrest occurred on Friday near the Maheshwar Road Bridge. Police seized 7.5 grams of brown sugar, estimated to be worth Rs 95,000, which Kahar was allegedly preparing to sell.
Further investigation revealed that Kahar has a lengthy criminal record, with 16 cases registered against him since 2014. These offenses span assault, theft, robbery, rioting, and illegal arms possession, leading to his designation as a habitual offender by Barwaha police.
During initial questioning, Kahar confessed to purchasing the brown sugar from Indore with the intention of reselling it in Barwaha. Authorities are now focused on identifying his sources and uncovering the extent of the local drug trafficking operations.
