Khanna police have successfully dismantled drug and weapons operations with the arrest of nine individuals. Multiple seizures were made, including large quantities of poppy husk and heroin, alongside an illegal firearm. The operations targeted several key figures involved in drug trafficking within the region.
In one major bust, five people were apprehended with 150 kg of poppy husk. Another operation led to the arrest of two individuals with heroin and 5.6 kg of poppy husk, as well as a .315-bore pistol. This suspect, identified as Gurpreet Singh Laddi, has a documented history of serious offenses.
Further investigations resulted in the interception of two heroin dealers, Jatin Bhania and Sandeep Kaur, who were found with 150 g of the drug. They were apprehended near a mall on GT Road in Khanna after allegedly attempting to ram their vehicle into police officers, injuring a constable.
