Kent Cats Mutilated: Owners Fear Serial Abuser

Cat owners in Kent and South King County are reporting horrific incidents where their pets have been found mutilated and dismembered. These gruesome discoveries have led to fears of a serial animal abuser operating in the area. Pet owners describe clean, precise cuts on their animals, ruling out typical animal attacks.

One owner, Lorraine Vandeventer, found her cat Andy dismembered with the collar cut and remains placed unnaturally. Another, Kellen Hammond, discovered his cat Mittens severed with a super clean cut. These incidents suggest calculated actions by an individual. Angela Pagnossin, who runs Hugs Cat Sanctuary, is compiling information and has received numerous similar reports, expressing deep concern about the escalating situation.

Pagnossin has documented at least eight separate cases, noting the perpetrator seems to be watching the community and targeting pets deliberately. She worries about the implications, stating, "this starts with cats and where does it end?" Pet owners have alerted Kent PD and King County Animal Control, and are awaiting official responses to these disturbing events.
