After the complaint was filed, Sahoo fled, and he was subsequently suspended from his job in August 2025. However, he managed to obtain an interim stay order on his arrest. This stay order was finally vacated by the court on November 13, 2025, leading to Sahoo's arrest the following day.
Sahoo was produced in court in Kendrapada on November 14, 2025, and his bail petition was rejected. He has been remanded to judicial custody as the investigation into the case continues.
