A disturbing triple murder has occurred in Karnataka's Vijayanagara district, with a man accused of killing his parents and sister. The suspect, identified as Akshay Kumar, allegedly committed the murders at their rented residence in Kotturu town.
Following the crime, Kumar reportedly traveled to Bengaluru and attempted to mislead authorities by filing a missing persons complaint for his family members. However, his inconsistent statements during police questioning raised suspicions.
Under sustained interrogation, Kumar allegedly confessed to the killings. Police subsequently visited the house, where the bodies are believed to have been buried. Investigators are examining a property dispute as a potential motive behind the incident.
The family, originally from Chitradurga, had relocated multiple times for work before settling in Kotturu about two years prior. Senior police officials are overseeing the ongoing investigation.
