In Kanpur, a court has handed down life sentences to three men convicted of murder. The fatal incident, which occurred on April 19, 2023, stemmed from an altercation involving obscene comments. Pritul Singh Senger, Aditya Sharma, and Rishabh Parihar were found guilty of killing Vaibhav Yadav.
The sequence of events began when the victim's companions were subjected to indecent remarks. When Vaibhav Yadav objected, the accused allegedly responded with abuse and a violent assault. He was struck with an iron rod and beaten, sustaining fatal injuries.
The police swiftly arrested the three accused. Following a trial where approximately eleven witnesses testified, the prosecution successfully established the charges. The court convicted the trio and imposed a life sentence, along with a fine of Rs 51,000 each.
