Summary

- Her lover, Gorelal, confessed to murdering her after a dispute.
- The victim was missing for ten months, leaving her seven children.

Police in Kanpur's Tikwapur village discovered a skeleton buried seven feet underground, identifying it as Reshma, a 45-year-old mother of seven. She had been missing for approximately ten months. Her lover, Gorelal, has been arrested and confessed to murdering her following a quarrel in April of the previous year.
Reshma's husband died three years ago, after which she began a relationship with her neighbor, Gorelal, and left her children to live with him. This decision caused her children to sever ties with her. She was last heard from when her son Babloo invited her to a family wedding.
When Reshma did not attend the wedding, Babloo grew suspicious and inquired with Gorelal, who gave evasive answers. Babloo subsequently filed a missing person report, leading to Gorelal's arrest. During interrogation, Gorelal admitted to strangling Reshma after a dispute and burying her body to conceal the crime.
