Kanpur Kids Visit Police Station to Build Trust

A unique dialogue and awareness session was recently held at Kanpur's Kotwali police station, attracting around 100 schoolchildren. The event focused on fostering trust between the community and law enforcement, while also raising awareness about the growing threat of cyber crimes.

Students from several local schools participated in this initiative, which offered them a practical insight into police operations. They received a guided tour of the station, exploring key areas like the cyber helpdesk, Mission Shakti Centre, and the general diary office. The session aimed to demystify police work for the young attendees.

During the event, officers explained crucial aspects of policing, including FIR registration and the differences between an accused and a criminal. Awareness was also raised about services like the 1090 Women Power Helpline. Demonstrations of police equipment and communication systems further educated the students on law enforcement's capabilities.
