In Kalaburagi, authorities have cracked the suspicious death of 40-year-old computer center owner Sidram Basalingappa Madagi Patil. His wife, Ambika, and her alleged lover, Maruti Bhovi, were arrested on Friday night, with a murder case registered against them. The investigation was prompted by a complaint filed by the victim's mother, Basamma, on November 5th.
Basamma reported that her son, Sidram, had dropped her at Sedam railway station on the night of November 2nd. The following morning, Ambika informed Basamma that Sidram had been found unresponsive. Upon examination at a government hospital and later at GIMS Hospital in Kalaburagi, Sidram's body showed significant injuries, including clotted blood, chest wounds, and scratch marks around the neck, along with bleeding from the nose, mouth, and ears.
Initially, Ambika had filed a complaint regarding her husband's suspicious death. However, Basamma's subsequent complaint and the ensuing police investigation led to the reclassification of the case as a murder, culminating in the arrests of Ambika and Maruti Bhovi. The case is being prosecuted under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
