A 17-year-old boy, Aadarsh Kumar, succumbed to his injuries after being shot near his rented home in Ara on Saturday evening. The incident occurred near Pakri Chowk-Mahua Bagh under the Nawada police station area.
Police reported that the motive behind the fatal shooting stemmed from an altercation during an Instagram group call. The victim had allegedly received threats from one of the accused, Navneet Kumar Yadav, also known as Loha Yadav, following the online dispute.
Responding rapidly to the crime, the Ara Nawada police arrested the main accused, Manjeet Kumar Yadav, within 24 hours of the firing. The second accused, Navneet Kumar Yadav, surrendered before the Ara court. The victim's mother, a nurse, is left to care for her young daughter after losing her husband some years ago, compounding the family's grief.
