Hyderabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar suspended Jubilee Hills inspector M Muthu Yadav for dereliction of duty on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. This action follows concerns over Yadav's response to a serious assault complaint filed by realtor G Hari Krishna. Krishna alleged he was attacked with iron rods by minister Konda Surekha's former OSD Sumanth and others on July 30, 2026, for allegedly using Sumanth's reference to collect money.
Hari Krishna suffered a hand fracture during the incident. He lodged a complaint at Medipally PS on August 20, 2026, where a zero FIR was registered and subsequently transferred to Jubilee Hills PS the same day. Police arrested three of Sumanth's associates on Monday, August 24, 2026, and they have been remanded to judicial custody. Sumanth remains at large, with special teams actively searching for him.
