A special CID court in Ranchi has reserved its order on the bail plea of Abhay Kumar Tiwari, a central figure in the alleged JPSC and JSSC recruitment examination irregularities. The verdict is anticipated on Wednesday. Tiwari, his wife Sushma Kumari, and brother Akshay Kumar Tiwari were arrested following a prolonged protest by exam aspirants.
Tiwari, formerly a marketing manager for the exam-conducting agency TSR Data Processing Ltd, is accused of violating conflict of interest norms. Investigators claim he fraudulently cleared recruitment exams and used his success to lure aspirants seeking illegal assistance.
Authorities allege that the syndicate engaged in result manipulation through question paper leaks, impersonation, and tampering with OMR sheets and evaluation servers. Investigations reveal that OMR sheets of approximately 350 forest range officer and 150 assistant conservator of forest candidates were allegedly altered. The accused reportedly collected original certificates and blank signed documents from candidates as collateral for payments ranging from Rs 5 lakh for preliminary exams to Rs 25 lakh for final selection. A CID team has visited the JSSC office to secure documentary and digital evidence related to the case.
