In Lucknow's Vikasnagar area, a 36-year-old man allegedly involved in defrauding people with false government job promises died by suicide. The incident occurred in his rented room where he shot himself with an illegal revolver.
His roommate reported the incident to the police after receiving no response to repeated attempts to contact him. Upon breaking down the door, police discovered the man, originally from Jaunpur, on his bed, deceased from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Preliminary investigations suggest the man had taken substantial amounts of money from several individuals by leveraging claims of strong government connections. He is believed to have faced intense pressure from these individuals demanding their money back when the promised jobs did not materialize, leading to his distress.
