8 Apr
Summary
- Three suspects arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on April 3.
- The dispute escalated due to objectionable remarks on social media.
- Main suspect, a habitual offender, was recently released from jail.

In Jhunjhunu district, police apprehended three suspects on Tuesday, April 8, 2026, in connection with the murder of Mukesh alias Tinku. The victim was fatally shot on April 3 in Ishakpura village, under the Singhana police station area. The arrests were made in the Bhaisawata Kalan hills after technical evidence and CCTV footage identified the perpetrators.
The investigation reveals a year-long animosity between Mukesh and the main suspect, Vijay. This conflict, marked by previous physical altercations, reportedly escalated significantly due to objectionable remarks posted on social media platforms, including Instagram Reels. Vijay, who has seven prior criminal cases and was released from jail only about 20 days before the murder, is believed to have planned the killing.
On the day of the incident, Mukesh was intercepted while meeting friends in Ishakpura. The accused allegedly knocked him off his motorcycle and Vijay shot him at close range. The suspects fled, but a joint police operation, involving extensive review of CCTV footage and raids across several locations, led to their capture in the hills.
