Summary
- Three men admitted conspiracy to commit burglary in a jewellery shop.
- They were caught trying to tunnel from a massage parlour into the shop.
- The gang is linked to over £700,000 in stolen goods from jewellers.

Three men have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary following an attempted raid on a jewellery shop in Tooting, south London. The suspects, Ioan Asafeti, Laurentiu-Daniel Nitisoara, and Sergiu Plastin, were apprehended in the early hours of July 17th.
The group had attempted to tunnel into the jewellers from an adjoining massage parlour, but their efforts were thwarted by police. Body-worn camera footage captured Nitisoara's arrest in an alley, while Asafeti was found hiding on a rooftop.
Plastin was tracked via mobile phone data and detained at Stansted Airport as he attempted to board a flight to Ireland. Tools and evidence of the tunnelling were discovered by police in the massage parlour.
An investigation by the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad revealed the men were part of an organised crime group responsible for a string of commercial burglaries targeting jewellers across London. The value of goods stolen between May and July exceeded £700,000.
Detectives indicated that Interpol inquiries suggest potential links to similar offences in Europe. The men are scheduled for sentencing at Kingston Crown Court on October 23rd.
