A former Jeopardy champion from North Carolina is facing serious legal trouble after being arrested on felony charges. Philip Joseph DeSena, a 42-year-old development engineer from Raleigh, has been charged with two counts of secret peeping.
According to court documents, DeSena allegedly installed a camera in a bathroom on October 10 with the intent to secretly capture images without consent. He appeared on Jeopardy twice in November 2024, winning a significant sum, and later competed in a Champions Wildcard Tournament.
DeSena was arrested on December 1 by the Currituck County Sheriff's Office and has since posted a $5,000 bond. His initial court date is scheduled for Wednesday at the Currituck County Court, as this legal situation unfolds.
