A student has secured a £65,000 settlement in a sexual harassment case against her former employer, JD Sports. Jayla Boyd, who was employed as a sales assistant while pursuing her A-levels, experienced an incident where a male supervisor slapped her on the bottom. The event occurred while she was 17 years old.
Ms Boyd expressed distress over the lack of support from her employer following the incident. In resolving the legal action, JD Sports Fashion PLC issued an acknowledgment and an apology for the significant distress experienced by Ms Boyd.
