Jaisalmer police apprehended two individuals, one of whom is the grandson of the deceased, in connection with the murder of an elderly couple. The victims, Lakharam and Reshma, aged 80 and 78 respectively, were discovered deceased at their residence on Saturday morning. Investigations revealed they were strangled and robbed of their valuables. The motive behind the heinous crime appears to be financial distress. The grandson, Suresh, aged 19, and his relative, Yogesh, aged 24, allegedly planned and executed the murders. Suresh had prior knowledge of the couple's valuables. Both accused have been arrested, and efforts are underway to recover the stolen property. The incident occurred in the Mohangarh police station area of Jaisalmer district.
