26 Nov
Summary
- A woman and her partner were arrested for murder.
- The victim was strangled and his death staged as suicide.
- The accused were in an extramarital relationship.

Police in Jaipur apprehended a woman and her partner on Wednesday for the murder of her husband, a watchman, on November 22. The victim was found strangled in his room, with the scene manipulated to suggest suicide. The accused, Asha and Yogesh Sharma, were identified through interrogation and technical analysis.
Sharma, who initially reported the incident and attempted to mislead investigators, was found to have inconsistencies in his statements. Investigations uncovered Asha and Sharma's extramarital affair, which they sought to conceal by permanently removing the victim. Sharma allegedly invited the victim over, strangled him with his own scarf, and then staged the scene to resemble suicide before alerting the police.
Both Asha and Sharma have been arrested and charged with murder. Further forensic reconstruction and call detail analysis are currently underway to solidify the case against the couple.
