What began as a verbal spat quickly escalated into a physical scuffle. During the altercation, Singh fell onto the road, becoming unconscious. Lal and his wife, who were present, reportedly fled the scene along with the tempo driver, Dinesh Kumar.
Family members transported Singh to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police were alerted and have detained Lal, his wife, and the tempo driver for interrogation. The exact cause of Singh's death is pending the results of a postmortem examination. An FIR is expected to be registered.
