A 45-year-old man, Rahul Jha, has been arrested in connection with the murders of his wife and three daughters. The arrest occurred on Sunday in Reengus town, Sikar district, following a manhunt after the gruesome discovery of the family's bodies at their home in Jaipur's Kardhani area. The murders had come to light on Friday morning.
Authorities utilized CCTV footage to track Jha's movements after he fled Jaipur. He was reportedly heading towards Khatu Shyam Ji before checking into a hotel. Following his arrest, Jha confessed to the killings, which he attributed to ongoing discord within the family, particularly strained relations with his wife and eldest daughter.
Police found blood-stained clothes belonging to Jha at the family residence. His mobile phone was also recovered, which he had switched off prior to absconding. The victims have been identified as his wife, Geeta (40), and daughters Nandani (23), Radhika (17), and Gauri (14).
