Murder Investigation: Two More Arrests in Inverclyde

An ongoing investigation into the murder of Robert Best has seen two additional men arrested. The 50-year-old's body was discovered on November 11 near High Mathernock Farm, close to Kilmacolm. He had been reported missing from Greenock earlier the same day.
One of the newly arrested men, aged 36, has been charged in connection with the death and is expected to appear in court. A 25-year-old man faces charges for attempting to pervert the course of justice. These arrests are part of continuing police inquiries.
Previously, four individuals, two men and two women, were arrested and charged in relation to the investigation and have since appeared before the courts. Police are also investigating a reported disturbance that occurred in Lansbury Street, Greenock, between Monday and Tuesday nights.
