A 31-year-old Columbus social media influencer, Tyler Bossetti, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for orchestrating a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme. Between 2019 and 2023, Bossetti promoted a real estate investment program called Boss Lifestyle LLC, guaranteeing high returns.
Through social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube, Bossetti promised investors returns of 30% or more. He received over $23 million from investors globally. In total, dozens of investors suffered losses exceeding $11 million.
Bossetti misappropriated investor funds for personal expenses, including luxury purchases like a Mercedes SUV and cryptocurrency investments. He also filed false tax forms to conceal the fraudulent activities. In April 2025, he was charged and subsequently pleaded guilty to wire fraud and aiding in false tax filing.
