A Perth influencer and her boyfriend have been charged with serious drug offenses just days after returning from Japan. Kristina Mariah Calder, 29, and Joel Samuel Lee Williams, 30, were arrested on February 13. Their latest social media posts documented their explorations in Japan, including visiting various attractions and food spots.
Calder faces charges including selling cocaine, possession of cannabis and MDMA, and conspiring to sell drugs. Williams is charged with conspiring to sell and supply, possession of cannabis and MDMA, and offering to sell drugs. Both appeared separately in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday and did not enter pleas.
Following their arrest, the couple received a ban from Perth Airport. However, Williams, a FIFO diesel mechanic, was granted a bail variation to allow him to travel domestically for work. Both are prohibited from using encrypted communication devices.
Calder, who runs a home salon called 'Nail Mafia,' has over 35,000 followers and frequently shares details about her lifestyle and beauty routines. The couple, together for over five years, are due back in court in April.
