A severe incident occurred at Sarvodaya Hospital on February 27, resulting in a partial amputation of an infant's finger. The child, Shree Tyagi, was undergoing treatment and was being prepared for discharge.
During the removal of a cannula from the infant's left hand, a nurse allegedly used scissors to cut the securing surgical tape. In the process, the child's fingertip, including the portion under the nail, was inadvertently severed.
