Two youths hailing from Indore have been apprehended by Ujjain police for their alleged involvement in a house break-in. The incident occurred in the Nanakheda area of Ujjain, where the accused reportedly stole gold and silver jewelry along with cash.
Authorities have successfully recovered jewelry valued at approximately Rs 5 lakh from the arrested individuals. The victims had reported their house broken into on January 17, discovering the theft upon their return a week later after a family trip.
Investigations, including reviewing footage from numerous CCTV cameras and technical analysis, led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the two youths. During interrogation, the accused allegedly admitted to their crime and provided information leading to the recovery of the stolen valuables.
Police stated that the arrested duo specialized in identifying and targeting locked houses that appeared vacant, conducting reconnaissance before executing their burglaries. Further investigations are currently ongoing.
