In Indore, the Lasudia Police have successfully apprehended two individuals identified as habitual offenders. These arrests stem from a series of break-ins targeting locked residential flats in the Mahalaxmi Nagar area, with the motive reportedly being to fund extravagant lifestyles. During the operation, authorities recovered a significant haul of stolen goods, including 32 grams of gold jewellery valued at approximately Rs 4.5 lakh.
The police investigation was prompted by reports of two separate burglaries that occurred last month. Initial reports detailed the theft of gold ornaments, clothing, and cash from a flat owned by Anjali Patwari. A subsequent incident on August 20 involved the theft of gold and cash from Sakshi Tomar's residence in the same neighborhood.
Leveraging extensive CCTV footage from around the crime scenes, a specialized police team meticulously analyzed the visual evidence. Investigators were able to identify two suspects whose appearances matched descriptions provided and track their movements across multiple camera feeds, ultimately leading to their residence.
The primary suspect was identified by locals as Sahil Bisht, aged 22. Following his arrest, Bisht confessed to both burglaries and implicated his accomplice, Anurag alias Bhayyu Dubey, aged 25. Both Bisht and Dubey, residents of different areas within Indore, have been taken into custody, and all the stolen gold property has been recovered. Police records indicate a history of criminal activity for both individuals, with Bisht facing 15 prior cases and Dubey having four.
