The Premashray old age home in Indore faced demolition on Monday due to alleged illegal construction and documented abuse of its elderly residents. A viral video depicting a staff member physically assaulting residents prompted immediate administrative action.
District authorities evacuated all vulnerable individuals and relocated them to safe, recognized care facilities. Subsequent investigations uncovered that the shelter was operating illegally beneath an Indore Municipal Corporation water tank complex.
